To keep you company during a late night of wrapping presents we've got our joyful, vibrant Stoke Red Pet Nat 2023. A cider that pours a slightly hazy gold, releasing lovely aromas of tarte Tatin, roses and baking spice. In the mouth it has noticeable sweetness, but it’s the sheer juiciness and energy of the liquid that grabs your attention before flavours of warm apple pie, ripe cherries and vanilla begin to unfurl.
Then, once the big day is done and all that's left to do is watch a film with a block of cheese, crack open a bottle of Thick Cut 2021 to celebrate. Such is the depth of the burnished orange colour, it looks like you’re pouring liquid marmalade into a glass! It’s sweet on the nose, almost barley sugar, but there’s also incense, dark chocolate, candied orange and smoke. On the palate, there’s more sweetness, together with orange oil, orange peel, baking spice especially clove, all wrapped in pillowy soft and chewy tannins.
