Tours & Tasting
Join Us Behind The Scenes
From 2 April through to the end of September in 2022 we will be running special Tours & Tastings at 12.30pm on Saturday afternoons.
Join us for an insight and an introduction into Little Pomona before sharing a tutored tasting in our Tasting Room.
Lasting between 60-90 minutes, your Tour will start with a welcome cider or perry in our Tasting Room before heading out, weather permitting, to the farm's Garden Orchard and the new Quince Orchard. Then it's back to the Cider House, to explore how cider is made in a contemporary cidery.
Hear about how the fruit arrives, see our SRAML press, one of only a few in this country and more often seen in wineries, and find out about our barrel fermentation and maturation programme, before finishing where we began, in the Tasting Room.
Here we'll have tasters of a few of our ciders. Typically the trio might include one of our kegged ciders, one of the classic range and one of our more experimental batches.
For the designated drivers, we have special organic apple juice from our Hillside Farm friends in nearby Kimbolton.
While we won't brave heavy rain, we might want to head to the orchard in light rain or when it's a little chilly, so please come with sturdy footwear and suitable clothing to cater for our weather.
Our cidery and tasting room is accessible for those in a wheelchair, but unfortunately the Orchard Walk will not be possible. However, we'd be very happy to make you comfy in the Tasting Room either with a few videos, or leave you to browse through our extensive apple- and pear- inspired library.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your Tour is due to start and make yourself known at the Bar.
HOW TO BOOK YOUR TOUR
Tour numbers are limited to 15 people so it is essential to book ahead.
Book your tickets HERE.
Please email email@example.com or call 07811 913971 with your name, and the Saturday of choice. Or we can leave the date open, with validity of 2 years for the Tour & Tasting ticket.
Dates and time will be confirmed by email. If the tour is full, we will see if we can host another tour on the day of your visit. We will ask for your email and telephone number in case we need to contact you.
We are constantly monitoring the local and national visiting guidelines.
If for any reason visiting restrictions come back into operation and tastings are not allowed, we will offer you one bottle of our cider per pair of tickets to take away and enjoy at your leisure. We will still share the stories behind the whole range with you.
If you have bought tickets and then are unable to travel due to tier changes or any illness, please email us so that we can either postpone or refund your tour voucher.
During Your Visit
Hand sanitiser is available at the start and the finish of the Tour. Please feel free to wear masks inside, or if a mask is not possible, a visor.
Where weather permits we will be outside for our welcome and tutored tasting.
Should you or one of your group become unwell for any reason, we ask that you contact us so that we can reschedule or postpone your visit until you are better.
