{"product_id":"balls-bittersweet-2021-7-9-copy","title":"Netherwood Estate Reserve 2020","description":"\u003cp\u003eThe 2020 growing season was one of the best of the century for cider apples and it’s no surprise that the old orchards on the nearby \u003cstrong\u003eNetherwood Estate\u003c\/strong\u003e were bursting with wonderful apples.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the late autumn we hand picked two varieties: the rare, evocatively named \u003cstrong\u003eBrown Snout\u003c\/strong\u003e and a true classic, \u003cstrong\u003eYarlington Mill\u003c\/strong\u003e. Pressed together, the juice underwent natural fermentation, before heading to barrel – ex-white burgundy – to mature. After a few months the cider was bottled together with some cryo-extracted apple juice to develop some sparkle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCrafted specially for the sustainably-focused, Michelin-starred restaurant \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.pensons.co.uk\/\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePensons\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, in the glass this is a beautiful, deep, hazy orange colour. This is reflected in the aromatics which combine the scent of spiced oranges with something more\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eearth bound and autumnal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the palate, it’s super juicy and complex, laden with yellow fruits and overlaid by a herbal, floral quality, warm spices and distinct minerality that capture the whole of the orchard. Its soft tannins and perfume linger long at the finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: #ff8000;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003e6.8% abv\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eServe just below room temperature.
