The Feast Of The Year
As Hereford's first Apple Fest for more than a few decades kicks off today, just time to check, for those who can - have you secured your ticket for the banquet on 8 October?
Held in the historic City of Hereford Town Hall, this is sure to be the cider feast of the year.
We are honoured to be there, alongside such luminaries as you can see mentioned here, being poured to accompany the gloriously apple-infused menu from Martin Carter, executive chef at Saxtys.
With after dinner words from friends of the Shire Gabe Cook, aka The Ciderologist, and Pommelier Jane Peyton, principal of the School of Booze, it's going to be a memorable evening.
For anyone who recalls the celebration that was Ciderlands back in 2019, this event will share the joy. Where we can come together to celebrate the ciders and perries of this region. The growers and makers. And our chance to enjoy the harvest season together.
Hereford Apple Fest - Activities Galore
Check out the many Hereford Apple Fest activities - including not just music and a glorious CAMRA Cider Marquee in High Town today, 1 October, but tastings in the City with Ross Cider & Perry, special pressings out at Butford Cider, the Big Apple's fabulous Harvestime festival, and a fantastic family friendly day at the Museum of Cider on 15 October with art activities, historical thespians, and talks and tastings galore.
And Tomorrow…
… we are joining with good friend Russell Sutcliffe at Innocent Pilgrim to host a cider bar at Bromyard's monthly Sunday Market in the square - your chance to score ciders from six of the best Herefordshire producers, plus apple cake, apple bobbing, and tastes of some of our favourite varieties.
Do join us if you can!
Wassail!
