UK's First Pommelier Hits Blossomtime Festival

Jane Peyton, Britain's first Pommelier is speaking at The Big Apple's Blossomtime Festival, Sunday morning, 10.45am, at Dragon Orchard in Putley.

Fresh from giving out the awards at the inspirational Putley Trials on Saturday, Jane will be heading to the Harry Taylor Memorial Theatre - aka The Green Shed - for her talk, #RethinkCider.

Expect a lively, thought-provoking chat from Jane, the principal of The School of Booze and a multi-award winning author, educator and host.

No stranger to the Three Counties, Jane has visited on numerous times, and been part of our journey over at Little Pomona.

Pictured here helping at harvest, one of her first visits coincided with the Museum of Cider's harvest festival, when we had the good fortune to meet Elizabeth Pimblett, shortly after she took over as director.

With her unique perspective – she's also qualified in wine and is a beer sommelier – Jane has also created online courses in cider for those who'd like to know more. Together we coined the hashtag #RethinkCider. Food pairing is a speciality – cheese and cider proved extremely entertaining on one visit.

So why not kick off your Blossomtime festivities with some time in the company of one of the country's most eloquent apple advocates?

Look forward to seeing you there!

Wassail!
