A single barrel of bright, golden sunshine, brought to you by two legends of the apple world, Ellis and Ashton Bitter.
Nearly two years in a whisky cask has brought lovely aromatics of hay, smoke sweet wood and icing sugar to the nose. In the mouth there’s a little smoke playing around the edges of the cider but at its core it’s yellow plums, baked apple and something almost grapey – soor ploom candy – that finishes dry and sweetly woody.
A soulful sipping cider that shows that tannin, barrel and time are the holy trinity.
