Table Cider No 3 - The Harvest Soundtrack

We’re pretty busy at harvest and for that reason you might have scanned the QR on your bottle of Table Cider recently and landed on a broken link. If you did - we’re very sorry please don’t hold it against us! Blair and Christian on a particularly nice picking day with the Warrior

Not to make excuses, but we’ve been very busy pressing all the new ciders and perries for the 2020 vintage. Harvest, as you probably know, is quite physically demanding and this was especially true in the strange world of covid, where we were limited in the number of people who could help us out. In this strange world music played an important role in keeping us going. We brought our portable speaker into every orchard we picked and kept that same speaker blasting as we worked our way through sorting and pressing nearly 50 tons of handpicked fruit.

Below are songs we listened to in orchards while soaking up sunshine or getting covered in Herefordian rain and mud. We listened to these songs on the tape deck of our beloved Mitsubishi Warrior (rest in peace good buddy) while driving with a trailer full of pome fruits. Each of these songs reflects our Autumn experience in some way. Whether they’re hopeful attempts to give us energy or a means of reflecting our physical and mental states (eg. “I’m so tired” by Montreal’s Nap Eyes).
