Introducing our first (of hopefully many) Pommeau, or rather Apple Mistelles.

Originally made using a single tank of Bramley apple cider, but in a crazy manoeuvre, a decision was made to referment the tank on fresh greengages. And if that wasn't enough, after nearly 2 years of maturation, the Bramley/Greengage blend was distilled for us by the legendary Eeu de Vie producer Barney Wilzcak, distiller and owner at Capreolus Distillery in Cirencester.

The quality of the spirit was superlative of course - delicate. perfumed, soft - and after tasting we made the decision to blend it with Kingston Black from Dragon Orchard in Putney's '23 harvest, plus small proportions of Ellis Bitter, Stoke Red and Egremont Russet. The final juice breakdown is 85% Kingston Black, 5% Ellis Bitter, 5% Stoke Red and 5% Egremont Russett. 


We put this blend of distilled cider and juice into a 110 litre German Chestnut wood barrel for a year and the result, after all this time and transformation, is a beautifully harmonious, chestnut brown liquid that is as good as anything we’ve ever made or tasted.


With only 180 bottles made this is a truly limited release and we can't wait for you to try it.
