We love beer here at Little Pomona, after all, as the old saying goes, it takes a lot of good beer to make good cider so where would we be without it? We also love collaborating with our friends in the beer world who have been so welcoming to us, and we are also on a mission to share good cider with our beer drinking brethren and so we’ve selected three from our range that we think might appeal.
Hard Rain Hot Pink is our most successful ciderkin, our low ABV apple-based sparklers. This one was dry hopped with whole cone Simcoe and blended with organic blackcurrant cordial and bottle conditioned. It’s bright and fresh, full of tangy flavours of cranberry, grapefruit and rhubarb, with tropical fruit notes from the hops.
Speak No Evil is one of our favourite collaborations with superstar brewery Deya in Cheltenham. This is a bottle-conditioned, barrel-aged wheat beer, refermented on our own Dabinett apple pomace! This is as pure and thrilling a beer/cider hybrid as you will find. Apple blossom, sweet fruit and a hint of tannin sit in perfect combination with the spicy fruitiness of the wheat beer. Memorable and superb.
Thick Cut Yarlington Mill with its bold autumnal flavours of candied apricot, orange oils, winter spices and sweet fruity richness from time in ex-cognac casks is a cider that lovers of barrel-aged beers will adore!
